What is covered in this article?
Data Transfer & Export
Direct Transfer: Student Information Systems that have a supported API, such as PC School and School PRO, will now allow school users to transfer data on demand. Simply by selecting the students from the Student List or Application list screen, a new option is available to Transfer over to those systems.
|
Note: This feature needs to be turned on programmatically and we will work with each school to verify the API has been set up correctly, run a test transfer prior to turning the feature on. Please contact support@enquirytracker.net to get his process started |
Data Export: In addition to the Student List screen, exports can now be initiated from the Application List screen. Student Information Systems that do not have an API can have data exported in a custom format. When exporting XML files, you will now be required to enter a password for added security in order to retrieve the file. Please contact us at support with any questions on how this can be customized for your school.
Applications
Custom Fields: School Admins can now create a variety of custom fields for the application forms. A custom field can be added in each Stepper, such as Student, Conditions etc. and to the bottom of any section, such as Student Details or Medical Conditions. Types of fields that can be added are:
- Display only
- Short answer
- Paragraph
- Date
- Dropdown (single choice)
- Radio button (single choice)
- Dropdown (multiple choice)
- Checkboxes (multiple choice)
In addition to custom fields, the following features have been added to allow you to further customize your application forms. These include:
-
Application Emails: Under Admin > Forms you can now edit the content of the emails that are sent when a family fills out an application form
-
Upper Limits for Multiple Choice Fields: You can now specify both a minimum and upper limit for multiple choice fields. This is ideal for fields like "Why did you select our school" where you may only want a family to specify the top 3 reasons for choosing your school.
-
HTML Formatting: You can now add support for HTML for the Information fields on the conditions stepper. This will allow you to insert links, images and list items as well as simple formatting options.
Application Filter: In addition to relocating the buttons on the list screen, a new filter has been added to the Application List screen that allows quick and easy filtering.
Preview Apps: You can now preview an application that is still In Progress. While it is not possible to edit the application, you can now assist families by helping them find any missing information that may be required to complete the application.
Missing Fields: We have improved how missing fields are highlighted within the application to make it easier to find those fields that still require data.
Signatures - If a second party is not able to sign a form, the signature block will still remain visible allowing for a signature to be added manually at a later date.
Demographic Charts
For demographic charts, you can now change the chart type from the default pie chart to a stacked column chart, which may be more useful for charts with many data sets. Furthermore you can now drill down on a chart that has been aggregated to see specific data for the year levels for that category.
Sign Up Forms
The standard sign up forms now support the HTML Header and Footer when using the permalink to the norm. This means that they will not be displayed when the forms are embedded in your school website using the standard Embed Code.
See Creating a permalink for sign up forms to create a dedicated URL for you form with a header and hooter. Note that the Header and Footer for forms can be set up under ADMIN>SIGN UP FORMS
