- Step 1: Accessing the Correct URL
- Step 2: Copy the URL
- Step 3: Link the URL
- Step 4: Repeat for Each Form
- Permalink by Event Type
In Enquiry Tracker it is possible to have a dedicated link or URL, often referred to as a permalink, for your online sign up forms. This allows you to have a page that you can direct visitors to in the event you want to have the page visible in a new window or popup screen versus embedded on your website using the standard JavaScript embed code.
These are the steps you need to follow in order to access that specific link.
Step 1: Accessing the Correct URL
The first step is to locate the specific URL for the form you wish to have open on a new page from your website.
- Go to ADMIN>SIGNUP FORMS
- Click the Preview icon for the specific form you want to use
- A new browser window will open up where you can access the correct URL
Step 2: Copy the URL
Once the page is open in a new window, you can access the URL. For example, these steps below are for a general enquiry form.
- Copy the portion of the URL up to but NOT including ?preview=true
- In the example below the URL to be copied is: https://app.enquirytracker.net/webforms/general/b753228a-949f-11e8-9c1a-42010a980032
| Note: This URL will be unique for your school. |
|
Tip: You should have a custom header and footer set up so that the form is on brand for your school. Read How to Create a Header and Footer for Online Forms to learn more. |
Step 3: Link the URL
Depending on your preference, once you have the unique URL, you can link it to a button or place it in a popup window.
So in this example, you may have a CONTACT US button/link on your website that would be linked to the URL above i.e.
https://app.enquirytracker.net/webforms/general/b753228a-949f-11e8-9c1a-42010a980032
If your website supports popup windows, you may also be able to embed this URL in the window. Please work with your IT/Web team to determine what is best for you.
Step 4: Repeat for Each Form
Follow the steps above for each of your other Enquiry Tracker forms
Permalink by Event Type
You can also create a permalink for a specific type of event. To do this you need to add the code for the event type at the end of the URL. This code can be found under:
- ADMIN>SCHOOL LISTS>EVENT TYPE
- Locate the Event Type such as School Tour and make a note of the CODE i.e. ST, which will be displayed in the Code Column
- Append the following text to the permalink for the Event Registration form
?data-widget-event-type=ST
so the final URL woudl look like:
https://app.enquirytracker.net/webforms/general/b753228a-949f-11e8-9c1a-42010a980032?data-widget-event-type=ST
