Why is this important?
In traditional email programs you are able to simply add attachments when sending emails to recipients. This is done slightly different in Enquiry Tracker. If you want to add an attachment you will need to add this via a URL.
What are the use cases?
In the event you want to update one of the automated emails for a family requesting an information pack or sending a broadcast email out to a subset of recipients and want to include a PDF for a specific promotion or offer, then you need to add a link to the file in order to make this work.
How can I insert a link to one of my Enquiry Tracker forms in an email?
Perform the following steps to insert a link to a form that an email recipient can click to complete.
- Locate the desired form your website or use the permalink to the relevant form
- Copy the URL link to that page
- Locate the email where you want the link to display and click the green pencil to edit
- Locate the relevant test in the email and select it i.e. Register Today
- Click the link icon in the toolbar and paste in the URL to the corresponding form
- Click SAVE
How can I attach a document to an email?
Perform the following steps to insert a link to a document that an email recipient can click to download.
- Locate the desired document, such as a PDF, and upload it to a public URL such as a directory on your website.
- Locate the link to that document, you must find the URL of the PDF, copy the URL to that document.
- Locate the email where you want the link to display and click the green pencil to edit
- Enter the desired text or select it, and click the link icon in the toolbar
- Paste the link into the dialog box

Tip: Be sure to click the SEND A TEST email and double check the link is valid Power Tip: You can also upload an image such as a button or asset that represents the item to download such as a thumbnail, and then link the image to the document. |
