Why is this important?
In traditional email programs you are able to simply add or embed images when sending emails to recipients. This is done slight different in Enquiry Tracker. If you want to add an image you will need to add this via a URL.
What are the use cases?
In the event you want to update one of the automated emails for a family requesting an information pack or sending a broadcast email out to a subset of recipients and want to insert an image in your email, then you need to add a link to the image file in order to make this work.
How can I insert an image in an email?
Perform the following steps to insert an image into an email.
- Locate the desired image, such as a JPG or PNG file, and upload it to a public URL such as a directory on your website.
- Locate the link to that document, you must find the URL of the image, copy the URL to that image.
- Place your cursor where you wish to insert the image
- Click the image button in the Enquiry Tracker email editor
- A dialog will appear allowing you to enter the source URL for the image. Users should enter in the URL from Step 2 above.
- Enter in an optional description
- Leave Constrain Proportion on and specify a height or width, but not both
- Click OK
Optional - Attach a document to the Image
- With you image selected, click the link icon in the toolbar
- Paste the link to your document into the dialog box
- Click OK

Tip: Be sure to click the SEND A TEST email and double check the link is valid Power Tip: You can also upload an image such as a button or asset that represents the item to download such as a thumbnail, and then link the image to the document. |
