Why is this important?
Some schools like to have a blank, printed copy of the application form on hand — for open days, information evenings, or families who prefer to fill in a paper copy before it's entered into the system. There isn't yet a built-in "print blank form" button in Enquiry Tracker, though this is planned as a future update.
In the meantime, the workaround below uses a dummy student record to generate a blank, printable version of your application form.
How do I print a blank application form?
Perform the following steps to produce a blank, printable copy of your application form:
- Go to Enquiries > Student List and create a new student record in the pipeline, with the first name and last name both set to "Blank".
- Add two contacts to the record:
-
Father — First name:
Blank, Last name:Blank, Contact Type: Primary, Email:blank@blank1.com -
Mother — First name:
Blank, Last name:Blank, Contact Type: Primary, Email:blank@blank2.com
-
Father — First name:
- Save the record.
- On the student details screen, click the purple + Apply Form button to create an application.
- On the Application Details screen, clear the fields you don't want to appear on the printed form:
- Delete the student's first and last name.
- Delete both parent contact names and email addresses.
- Save the application again.
- Go to Form Entries > Apply Forms. The student will still be listed as "Blank, Blank" — that's expected.
- Click the preview icon in the right-hand column next to the student's name to open the application preview.
- Use the print function from the preview screen to print the blank form.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do with the "Blank, Blank" student record afterwards?
Since this workaround creates a real record in your pipeline, we'd suggest deleting or archiving it once you've finished printing, so it doesn't sit in your enquiry lists alongside genuine applicants.
Will there be an easier way to do this in future?
Yes — a straightforward way to print a blank application is planned as part of a future update. This article will be updated once that ships.
Can I reuse the same "Blank, Blank" record if I need another printout later?
You can, as long as you haven't deleted it. Just repeat from the preview and print step.
