Why is this important
School's often want to offer a discount on a fee associated with a form for a variety of reasons, such as a child of a staff member, or they already have a sibling at the school. This feature allows you to add any number of questions on a form for the family to answer and, depending on their answer, a discount will be applied to the fee.
Discount Questions
We have included a list of question to get you started. these can be edited to reflect your own needs, deleted or added upon. the default questions are:
- Have you already submitted an application for another child?
- Does this student have a sibling already attending our school?
- Is this application for a child of a Staff member?
- Is this student a child of an Alumni?
- Is this student attending our Early Learning Centre?
- Is this student a scholarship recipient?
- Did this student enter the country on a Humanitarian Visa?
Editing Questions and Adding Discounts
Follow the steps below to create or edit you own questions.
- Go to Admin > Forms
- Locate the form you wish to edit and click the setup icon
- Scroll down to the Discounts section where a list of default questions will be included with each form. The default options for these questions are 0% discount, not mandatory and are not on any form
- Select any question by clicking the Edit/Pencil icon
- Edit the question as desired
- Drag the control to specify the discount in increments of 5%
- Specify field Validation by making it Mandatory or not
- Decide whether the question will appear on the particular form or not by marking Include on Form as desired
- Repeat for each question
| Note: Only the highest discount will be applied to the fee. So if two question had 50% discount and the answer was yes to both, only 50% would be applied and not 100% |
Discount Messages
There are default messages that will be displayed whenever a discount is applied. One if the discount is greater than zero, and another if it is 100%.
Both of these can be edited by modifying the text and then clicking SAVE
How Discount Questions Appear on Forms
If a question has been marked as visible on firm it will appear in the Survey Section on the Conditions stepper and below any existing questions.
These questions cannot be edited on the form nor can they be moved elsewhere.
