- Find Your Event
- Get the Event Registration Form URL
- Create the Event-Specific Link
- Adding the Link to your Email / Message
Why is this important
Often school users will want to have a dedicated registration page for a certain type of event such as Enrolment Interviews or Open Days. Good news is that you can create a direct link (permalink) for a specific event type by adding the relevant event code to the end of your Event Registration Form URL.
Find Your Event
The first step is to locate the code for your event type.
- Go to ADMIN>SCHOOL LISTS
- From the dropdown, select EVENT TYPE
- Locate the event type (e.g. Enrolment Interview) and note the Code in the Code column (e.g. EI)
The Code column on this page may be blank. If so, please add your own codes by clicking the pencil icon for each list item.
We recommend using short 2–3 letter codes relevant to the event (e.g. EI for Enrolment Interview).
| Note: Each of the codes must be unique |
Get the Event Registration Form URL
- Go to ADMIN>SIGNUP FORMS
- Click the Preview icon next to the Event Registration Form
- In the new browser window, copy the URL up to (but not including) preview=true
In the example below the URL to be copied is:
https://app.enquirytracker.net/webforms/event-registration/2aa80f6c-0811-11e8-b70f-42010a98004e?
| Note: This URL will be unique for your school. |
Create the Event-Specific Link
To set up a page to show only a specific event type, we need to add the event type code to the URL that you have copied. To your URL you will need to add a section for "data-widget-event-type=" and the event code.
In this example, the event type is Enrolment Interview, so we are using the event code "EI".
- Append the following text to the permalink for the Event Registration form that you have copied above.
data-widget-event-type=EI
The final Event-Specific URL would look like:
Adding the Link to your Email / Message
The next step will be to add this link into your message you are sending out.
